Giveaway: Signed copy of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander

I'm wrapping up an incredible weekend with my crit partner D.B. Sieders. We attended Arizona Dreamin', participated in half a dozen writing workshops, and had the opportunity to meet Diana Gabaldon. I'm a longtime fan of hers. My 18 year old self once browsed the romance section and came across what was being advertised as a time travel romance-- but man oh man, it was so much more. Fast forward *clears throat* to more than a decade later, and here I am spinning tales of my own, inspired to write by greats such as Ms. Gabaldon.

What about you? Which author, either living or dead,  would you love to meet and greet? I'm feeling celebratory, so share your thoughts and enter to win a signed copy of Outlander. Though I adore all of my international friends, for shipping considerations, I ask that only those residing within the United States of America participate.

                                                                                                        Warmest wishes,
                                                                                                        Sophia

I love Diana and so excited to find out it will be a series. I would love to meet her, LaVyrle Spencer, Phillipa Gregory and Nora Roberts. On the other side, Mark Twain and Charles Dickens. :)

Without a doubt, my two living authors I'd most like to meet are Johanna Lindsey and Diana Gabaldon. Love, love them, and their writing styles. As for dead authors, that's a little harder. Maybe Jane Austen or Lord Byron. Both seem fairly entertaining!

Hi Sandi, I hope you get the chance to meet both Ms. Lindsey and Ms. Gabaldon one day. Ms. Gabaldon was wonderfully engaging! We were laughing pretty much the whole time.

I've met so many amazing authors, and it is really exciting. It would be cool to meet Herself, but the closest she's coming to where I live is a 4 hour drive on a work day, so alas I will not be going. Some of my friends are though.

Wow! Such a wonderful giveaway Sophia! <3 I'm Canadian, so I know I cannot partake :) But would like to comment if I may. I like the question.

Living authors: The no brainer is Diana Gabaldon hands down, a close second would be Ken Follet, and on his heels, Stephen King.

Thank you for stopping in, Laura. Great picks! Pillars of the Earth is one of my favorite books; I imagine Mr. Follet would be very interesting to meet. Best wishes to you!

I loved Pillars of the Earth. I'm reading the sequel right now. I must say I was disappointed in the movie version. But Starz' Outlander looks great.
